ARM BALANCE WORKSHOP - 13 JANUARY 2018

@ Good Vibes

The practice of arm balances is much more a question of refined technique than it is of pure strength. What might at first seem to be a challenging pose can in fact be relatively simple once you come to understand some of the basic principles and methods to practicing arm balances.

In this 2 hour workshop we will use props and show you all the steps needed to be light in your practice and take flight. You’ll learn:

  • How to find your ‘balance point’ for effortless flight

  • How to use your hands and fingers skilfully to provide stability and strength

  • To find ‘lift’ through the core of your body

  • How to meet the fear with courage and humour!

Join me, and feel empowered through this playful and uplifting practice.

RETREATS

BULGARIA, RHODOPE MOUNTAINS - 10-16 AUGUST 2018

COACHING AND WELLBEING RETREAT

A five-day retreat combining life coaching, yoga, and bodywork in the stunning Bulgarian mountainside.

By joining our Essential Living retreat in the August sunshine you’ll have the opportunity to completely disconnect from your daily routine, switch off, relax and start prioritising your life around what truly matters to you.

Essentialist living is based around the concept of only investing your limited time and energy in those activities that push you closer to your highest point of contribution.

Over the course of five days you’ll be able to connect with a bigger sense of purpose around what it is you do in life. By investing in fewer things, you’ll be able to make progress much quicker in the areas that are truly important - helping you live a life by design, rather than by default.

Through a holistic programme of life coaching, bodywork treatments, and yoga, you will learn to increase your mental bandwidth, reduce stress and create focus to become your best self.

ITALY, UMBRIA - 17-24 AUGUST 2018

YOGA, QIGONG AND MEDITATION WITH MIMI KUO-DEEMER AND SIFU MATTHEW COHEN

I’m assisting my two wonderful and deeply inspiring teachers on this retreat.

Throughout the week, Matthew and Mimi will explore the season of late summer and the qualities of the Earth element, which in Chinese medicine represents the ability to feel centred, steady and receive the nourishment and sweetness from the harvests of our own life. In support of the Earth element, late summer and La Dolce Vita, Matthew and Mimi's teachings will explore ways we can learn to savour the richness of integrity, clear intentions and feeling of being on the fertile Umbrian lands.

Drawing from their shared love for integrated systems of healing based on yoga, qigong, Buddhism, Chinese medicine and martial arts, they invite students to explore authenticity, awareness and intentionality in a safe space. Their integration of practices works with the interplay of effort and ease, movement and stillness, softness with strength, and the sacred with the practical.

Both teachers are always available so you receive more individual attention, hands-on adjustments and modifications as needed. Through deep, lighthearted, playful and inspiring practices, Matthew and Mimi will explore how the richness of ancient teachings can be incorporated into our contemporary daily lives.
